Multifunctional Load Monitoring System [RLG 2/4] 2 and 4 channels Compact Type Load Monitor with Multiple Alarm Functions

Loadgard RLG series monitors are part of a series of load monitoring equipment that employ strain gauge sensors developed for press machines.
This new load monitoring system monitors any load variation of the press machine by processing the analog waves outputted per stroke from the strain gauge sensor installed on each side of the press machine and by original digital circuit. When it detects an overload or other abnormal load caused by double stamping or a feeding error, it will give an alarm and output the stop signal to stop the press machine. As a result, your valuable dies and press machine are protected.

Easy to read digital display
The tonnage of the load to be processed at each side is displayed digitally for every channel and the total tonnage of the pressurized load is displayed at the center. The operator can check the pressurized load during the stamping and get a good grasp of the load balance from the pressurized load tonnage displayed for each channel. It is instrumental to the protection of the press machine and dies.

Three-Selector Changeover Function
Three monitoring functions (Trend Alarm, Adaptive Alarm and Area Alarm) can be designated by changing over the switches. One of the monitoring functions suited for the operation can be used.

Simple Quality Control
The load variation during the stamping is displayed on the LED bar, which allows the operator to easily check the deviation from the common difference. Green and orange lights will come on when the value is within the upper and lower limits; a red light will come on if the value exceeds the upper and lower limits. The operator can check for any variation during the operation (when the press machine is running) hence, it is useful for quality control purposes.

It will detect double stamping and feeding errors.
It will stop the press machine to prevent losses when it detects an unusual load generated by double stamping or a feeding error.

Functions
Monitoring of Overloads
Overload monitoring is a function commonly used to protect the press machine. However, it can also be applied to protecting dies.
It monitors the peak load values.

Trend Alarm
It compares the sampling values with the mean value (peak load value). The number of sampling times can be designated optionally.
The monitoring scope can be designated from 1% to 99% of the mean value of the sample for each channel.
This monitoring function is the most popular monitoring function.


Adaptive Alarm
This monitoring function is also called the mean value comparison. It performs comparative monitoring by comparing the sampling values with the mean value of the last time (peak load value).
It calculates the mean value by sampling the peak load values up to the number of times set at the last time.
The monitoring scope can be set from 1% to 99%. It can be effectively used in high speed operation.


Area Alarm
The area alarm will sample the load data of one processing stroke in units of 100ms and calculate the integral value. It finds the mean value of the total number of times designated randomly from the calculated integral value and performs the monitoring by comparing the load data with the mean value.
The monitoring scope can be randomly designated from 1% to 99%.
It mainly monitors abnormal incidents, such as slug clogging in the dies with the trunk.
